2011 Dodgeball Tournament Information

THANK YOU!!!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped in anyway with the Dodgeball tournament. We had a good turnout and will be taking Christian to his intense physical therapy program in January!! Can't wait to see what this next year has in store for him!!

Thank you for visiting our website. I hope that the information on here is helpful. If we do not answer all of your questions email Robyn Russell at russellrobyn@yahoo.com .

We are having this fundraiser for Christian Russell who was born with brain damage which has caused cortical blindness, multiple developmental delays (walking, talking, sitting), seizures, and hypothyroidism. Christian currently receives physical, occupational, and speech therapy on a weekly basis. However, we will be going to the Kenny Rogers Child Center in Sikeston, MO for intense physical therapy(suit therapy) in Sikeston, Mo for 3 weeks. This therapy is not offered around here. Significant improvement is seen after each trip. Feel free to visit their website at http://www.kennyrogerscenter.org/ This year we are also using the funds for Christian's speech therapy that he receives weekly. Insurance does not pay for the intense physical therapy program or speech therapy done here in Springfield. You can also go to http://www.robynsrambling.blogspot.com/ to see video and pictures of past trips that were made to the center in Sikeston.

As parents, we are trying to give Christian all of the opportunities to have the best possible life. Thank you for taking part in a fundraiser to make that possible. Thank you for making a difference!!!

Childrens Medical Services said...

Hello,
I read your stories in the Headliner and wanted to make you aware of a couple of programs, one right in your own neighborhood! The first is called First Hand Foundation. It is located in Kansas City. the website is firsthandfoundation.org. Look them up as they can assit with traveling and therapy costs. The second is our program. Children's Medical Services. We provide children ages 4 to 20 with diapers, pullups and intermittent catheters enrolled in the Medicaid program in Missouri free. We also deliver them via UPS free. Locally we make arrangements to either pick up or deliver. (We live in Ozark and our office is in Springfield.) Since your children aren't 4 yet you can apply for a waiver through the Bureau of Health Care and Special Needs until they reach 4. I have the toll free number, and will gladly share with you.
I look forward to talking with you and see if we could be of service to you and the other familes in the area. We have been working very hard to get the word out to as many folks as possible. Please call us at 882-9446 or toll free 877-984-5050. We hope to make it to your dodgeball tournement.
God Bless,
Robin
